David Michael Sedlacek of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, in Shawnee at the age of 81. David was born on Tuesday, April 13, 1943, to Emil and Carrie (Janota) Sedlacek in Prague, OK.David was preceded in death by his wife, his sister, his parents and his grandson in-law.

Shakoda Wright and Preston Sowder were selected as Rotarians of the Month for September by the Chandler Rotary Club.Shakoda Wright is the daughter of Takeilo Wright and Cassondra Taylor. She has a younger sister, Iridessa, and a younger brother, Jeramiah.

OKC Memorial, Museum visits Wellston

The Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum is visiting all 77 counties in Oklahoma to mark the 30th anniversary year of the Murrah bombing, with its second stop in Wellston on Oct. 2, according to a press release from the foundation.
