Felony charges for Stroud man

A Stroud man, previously convicted of six felonies in 2019, now faces eight new felonies following his arrest by officers.Formal charges were filed Sep. 24, 2024 in Lincoln County District Court against Acey Ambrose Murphy, 33.

Wellston roars past Dewey

The Davenport Bulldogs earned their first win of the season last week as they ran by the Depew Hornets 42-14.Coach John Greenfield said, “We kind of turned it on in the last half after leading 14-0 at halftime.”The Bulldogs, now 1-3 on the season, travel to Yale for a road contest Friday night.

Charges dropped

Charges of kidnapping and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon have been dismissed against a Wellston man who had been previously convicted of several felonies.Dallas Allen Steele, 36, was charged on April 12 in Lincoln County District Court with , with those felonies.

Guilty plea in shooting, high speed chase

A Wellston man facing five felony charges after reportedly shooting at his parents and leading law enforcement officers on a high speed pursuit before being caught and arrested has pleaded guilty to three of the charges.
