Hunting and fishing have changed so much since I was a kid. Of course that’s been considerably over 60 years ago. That can probably be attributed to all the various rules and regulations put in place by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation over a period of time.

Lincoln County commissioners this week voted to change the position of Emergency Management Assistant Director to an exempt status.

Chandler to close parts of Allison

The Chandler City Council voted 3-2 to close down Allison Street from Rt. 66 to Fifth Street due to a bridge replacement project by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation at their monthly meeting on Feb. 13. ODOT will be replacing the railroad bridge on Rt.

Former McLoud teacher gets suspended sentences

A former McLoud High School teacher has pleaded guilty to three felonies for soliciting sex with minors by use of technology and has been handed three suspended sentences.

Sophomore Landon Earp from Chandler High School is set to battle it out on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the OSSAA State Wrestling Championship at the State Fairgrounds Arena in Oklahoma City. This is Earp’s second time qualifying for State.

Chandler teacher Pam Anderson is named Citizen of the Year by the Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce and receives her award from Chamber Vice President Brian Bendele. Mrs. Anderson has taught at Chandler Junior High for over 30 years.
