A competency evaluation has been ordered for a McLoud area man who faces felony kidnapping and domestic assault and battery by strangulation charges in addition to other felonies. A misdemeanor charge was also filed against him.

We were having trouble coming up with something Grandson Bennett would eat for breakfast. He doesn’t like scrambled eggs. Or cereal that isn’t highly sugared. Or biscuits. Or pancakes. He is living with us these days, so it was becoming a problem finding menu choices that he would eat.

Dear editor, I can not understand the thought process in the Gaza, preceding the attack by Hamas on Israel last month. The Palestines, a society that can not feed their people, militarily attack Israel, possibly the best prepared military on earth!

County Commission

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved a payment to the IRS for E-911 back taxes and agreed to pay that out of the General Fund. The payment reportedly is for $37,356,84 if paid by the end of December.
