William Edward (Eddie) White died on February 3. He was 89 years old. Eddie was born September 24, 1933 to George and Rosie White. His mother Rosie died when Eddie was three. George later married Midgie and she raised Eddie as her own, until her death.

Ronald “Ronnie” Dewayne Kalka, 65, passed away on Saturday, January 28, 2023, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ronnie was born on Thursday, October 31, 1957, in Cushing, Oklahoma to Lewis and Maxine (Bond) Kalka. He grew up in Chandler, Oklahoma, graduating from Chandler High School in 1976.

Commissioners approve lot application

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved application to the Central Oklahoma Economic Development District (COEDD) for a Community Development Block Grant for a handicap parking lot at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.

Chandler livestock show

Chandler will have its local 4H and FFA livestock show Saturday at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. Cards are due at 9 a.m. and the show starts at 10. Showmanship will be after each species, peewee through adult.

Valentine’s Day dance

Citizens for the Improvement of Chandler will have a Valentine’s Day dance for seventh- through ninth-graders from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Douglas Gym. The cost is $3 each.

Hearing set for Wellston attorney

A Preliminary hearing has been scheduled for aWellston attorney facing five drug related charges who reportedly violated a judge’s order and is now held without bail. Formal felony charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court Dec. 6 against Debra Dawn Campbell, 59.
