Murder trial continued

A Harrah man who was scheduled to stand trial this month on a first degree murder complaint has been granted another continuance until February. During the recent felony disposition docket, District Judge Traci Soderstrom granted a motion for continuance.

Race develops for Chandler mayor

A race for the mayor of Chandler developed on the first day of the filing period for municipal offices and several have filed for positions in cities and towns in Lincoln County. Kent McVey and Tony Wilson each filed in the race to be Chandler’s mayor.

Two charged with drug trafficking

A man from Carney and a woman from Chandler face two felonies each after their arrest by Lincoln County deputies recently. James Michael Boyd, 38, whose address was listed as in Carney and Alexandria Deanne Gordon, of Chandler, were each charged Jan.

Hearing set for Ada woman

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for an Ada woman facing a first degree manslaughter charge in a fatal traffic collision that killed a Prague man more than two years ago. Formal manslaughter charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court on Apr.

Early voting on Thursday

Early in-person voting begins today, Feb. 9, for the Feb. 14 election and all those eligible voters in Lincoln County have at least one proposition to decide. They will cast their votes on renewal of the one percent county sales tax now in place that helps provide funding for a number of entities.

Nathan Earshel Terry was born February 3, 1943 and died on January 26, 2023. Nathan was born in Bristow, Oklahoma to Arthur and Doris (Clifton) Terry. Nathan and his family lived in Oklahoma and then moved to California. Nathan married Mary L. Boley on November 19, 1966 in King City, California.

Vicki Cauthon passed away on January 20, 2023, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing. To honor Vicki’s request, she wished to be cremated, no services are planned.
