Deana McWhorter

Deana McWhorter, long-time Chandler resident, was born on May 10, 1957, in Chandler Oklahoma, and departed this life Friday, September 30, 2022, at the age of 65 years. Deana was the daughter of Bob and Lila Helm. She graduated from Chandler High School in 1975.

Randy Joe VanFossen

Randy Joe VanFossen passed away on September 28, 2022 at the age of 68. He was the oldest son born to Alfred and Juanita (Lovett) VanFossen in East Liverpool, Ohio on January 20, 1954. Randy grew up in Ohio and graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1973.

Stroud man dies in crash

A Stroud man died in a two-vehicle traffic collision in the city limits. Stroud Police Chief Clint Gaylord identified the victim who died in the collision as Randy VanFossen, 68. Gaylord reported that VanFossen had to be extricated from the 1989 GMC pickup he was driving.

The mother and sister of a Prague man facing six felonies each have been charged with harboring a fugitive from justice. Karen Vancuren, 34, of Prague, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court July 29 with harboring a fugitive from justice.

Fatal shooting near Prague

A shooting recently in Lincoln County near Prague resulted in the death of a 35-year-old man, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation has reported. The OSBI this week identified the deceased as Joshua Seaton.
