Warden inducted into Military Hall of Fame

Staff Sgt. Douglas Jason Warden, United States Army, retired, was inducted into the Oklahoma Military Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 23. The ceremony was held at the Oklahoma City Military Park Vietnam War Memorial at 1200 N.W. 24th.

22 more COVID-19 deaths reported in area

The number of COVID-19 deaths in Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties increased by 22 compared to three weeks ago, but the new positive cases rose less than 300, the most recent Oklahoma State Department of Health figures show.

Prisoner charged in assault on county officer

An Agra woman who reportedly had been arrested earlier in the day and was in a detox cell of the jail, faces an assault and battery charge on an officer. Maggie June Capps, 18, was formally charged on Oct. 14 in Lincoln County District Court with the felony.

Felony charges filed after crash

A recent traffic collision on U.S. 66 and County Road 3520 resulted in the driver facing a felony charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Shelton James Sutton, 48, of Joplin. Mo., was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court Oct. 13 with DUI.

A motorist who reportedly followed people home and then parked in their driveway, has been charged with a felony of driving under an intoxicating substance and a misdemeanor. Cornelious Antonio Holloway, 57, of Oklahoma City, was formally charged Oct.

I knelt on some loose shale to take a picture of Kindra sitting on a rock. It was about 10 feet from the water’s edge, but Lake Eufaula seemed to be down several feet. Where I was standing probably would have been waist deep at normal lake level.
