The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program provides an advocate for long-term care residents, particularly those without family to help advocate on their behalf, to express their questions and concerns. Along with resident advocacy, local Ombudsmen also offer other resources and information.

Chandler High School seniors Spencer Clagg and Cobie Rickner have been chosen as Lions of the Month by the Lion’s Club for the month of January. Spencer Clagg, the son of Eric and Tonya Clagg, holds a 3.25 grade point average while taking advanced classes in English for four years.

A Luther man who has several previous felony convictions has been arrested and faces three new charges after his arrest by Lincoln County deputies.

Absentee ballot requests ready

Voters interested in voting by absentee ballot during the 2021 election year, can request absentee ballots now using the Oklahoma State Election Board’s online OK Voter Portal or download and print an application from the Oklahoma State Election Board website.

“A Healthier You” now at the library

The McLoud Public Library and the Pioneer Library System invites readers to take part in its initiative “A Healthier You” to get 2021 off to a positive start. The initiative runs through the end of April and features health-related activities that customers can engage in on their own schedules.
