Redskins earn district honors

Redskins earn district honors

McLoud coach Rusty Hall was named the District 3A-1 Coach of the Year and seven Redskins were named to the all-district team this week. A McLoud graduate, Hall took over as the Redskins head coach in 2015 and has taken them to the playoffs twice, including this season.

Meeker hears drop-out report

The Meeker Board of Education was presented the dropout report for the Middle School and High School during its meeting earlier this week. Middle School Dean of Students Virgil Fowler reported no dropouts during the 2018-2019 school year.

COVID Deaths continue rise in area

The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 has increased by two in Lincoln County and by one in Pottawatomie County in the last few days, the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports.
