Bowen and Stone are November Lions

Chandler High School seniors Baylee Bowen and Jared Stone were chosen as November Lions of the Month by the Lion’s Club. Baylee Bowen, the daughter of Daryl and Kristi Bowen, holds a 3.98 graduate point average while taking concurrent classes through Rose State College in Midwest City, Okla.

COVID surge continues in area

The number of people testing positive for COVID-19 across Oklahoma again increased significantly over the past week and the same was true in Pottawatomie and Lincoln Counties as well.

Lincoln County reconsiders new jail

Lincoln County Commissioners have taken action aimed at building a new county jail rather than renovating the current one.

Millage levies decline in 11 districts

Eleven of Lincoln County’s 16 school districts have tax millage levies that are lower in 2020 than in 2019 according to Jackie Holcomb, Lincoln County Assessor, which will mean lower taxes for many property owners.
