Meeker to raise rates

The Meeker Town Board, meeting as the Public Works Authority, voted this week to raise water, sewer and trash rates effective Dec 1. The board approved an ordinance and emergency clause raising the minimum rates for each by $1 a month.

Sam Franklin McGraw

Sam Franklin McGraw was born November 30, 1938, in Chandler. He died Sunday, November 8, 2020, in Chandler at the age of 81 years. McGraw, the son of Charles and Eula Mae (Sutt) McGraw, was a 1957 graduate of Chandler High School. He worked in education and sales for over 50 years.

Ruthann Kluender

Ruthann Kluender of Chandler was born June 26, 1944, in Omaha, Neb. She died November 11, 2020 in Stillwater, Okla., at the age of 76 years. Kluender, the daughter of Max and Ruth (Flynn) Hostetter, married Jack Hollopeter on September 21, 1967, in Valentine, Neb.

Darlene Elnora Earp

Darlene Elnora (Miller) Earp was born March 4, 1933, in Chandler and died Thursday, November 12, 2020, at her home. She was 87 years old. Earp, the daughter of Lewis and Verona Miller, married Leon Earp on February 26, 1953.

John Darrell Newnam Sr.

John Darrell Newnam Sr. was born August 31, 1944, and died Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at the age of 76 years. Newnam, the son of Otho and Stella Newnam, married Carolyn Sanders on February 1, 1965.

James Dale Morningstar

James Dale Morningstar, age 74, of Wylie, Texas, passed away November 7, 2020 in Carrollton, Texas. Jim was born July 3, 1946 in Mancelona, Mich., to William and Bernice Morningstar. He resided in Chandler, Okla., until moving to Wylie in 2019. Jim was previously Pastor of Pioneer Baptist Church.
