Earl Ray Blakley

Earl Blakley-Ft. Worth, TX. Jan. 6, 1935-July 31, 2023 Earl Ray Blakley passed into the arms of Jesus on Monday, July 31st, 2023. He was born in Kendrick Oklahoma to H.C. Blakley and Lola Sutton. Earl Ray graduated from Kendrick High School in 1952. He attended Oklahoma A&M, graduating in 1956. He married Dolores Cochran in 1956. They moved to Childress, Texas, where he started work as a soil scientist. He was promoted to the soil correlation staff of the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, Fort Worth, Texas, in 1977.

Earl Ray loved hunting, fishing, gardening and carpentry. He had a servant’s heart. He impacted those he knew in positive way. He loved the farm he grew up on and always had it near his heart.

Earl Ray was preceded in death by his parents, H.C. and Lola Blakley, his wife Dolores, his sisters Glendola Quinn and Mary Jones, his brother Bud Blakley and infant daughter Marsha Ann. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Blakley of Fort Worth. He is also survived by his brother/sister-in-law Billy and Lottie of Arkansas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
