Karl Leon Corser of Austin, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2023 at the age of 60.
Karl was born in Texas City, Texas to Mary Lu and Marvin Corser. He grew up with brothers Keith and Kevin. Karl graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1986 with a degree in chemical engineering. He worked for IBM, Texas Instruments, Samsung and others in the development and manufacture of microchips and nano technology in the semiconductor industry. His latest employment was in operations management in security cards for various governments, hotels, and other businesses. He was highly respected by his co-workers. Karl was actively involved in spending time with family and friends where he was known for creating spread sheets for everything.
Karl was proceeded in death by his grandparents Ralph and Helen English, formerly of Stroud, Oklahoma and Noel and Lula Corser, formerly of Cushing, Oklahoma. Also his uncles Myron Corser and Leland Roberts.
Karl is survived by his wife Rebecca, his parents Lu and Marvin Corser, his children Ben, Jon, Sarah, and Michael, and their mother Terry Corser, bonus sons Trey and Colby Smith, granddaughter Kaislee Ann Smith; also his brothers Keith and wife Laura Corser, and Kevin and wife Erin Corser.Also hisAunt Sue Roberts, cousins Brent and wife Pam Roberts, Janice and husband Robert Felps, and numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Family and friends were invited to attend a memorial service Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home inAustin,Texas, and a continued celebration of his life at The Park, a nearby restaurant. Interment to follow at Stroud, Oklahoma in the spring of 2024.
