Janet Gail Hagar, longtime Meeker resident, 85, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024.
She was born on April 22, 1939, to Doil and Donna Wilson in Oklahoma City. At seven years old, her family moved to Payson, Oklahoma, in March of 1947. Janet graduated from Meeker High School in 1957.
Janet married Dean Earl Hagar on May 6, 1957. In 1959, they bought a farm in Payson, north of Meeker. Janet carried on her farm life of milking dairy cows for 16 years. She was also a United States Postal Rural Carrier in Meeker for 29 years.
Janet is proceeded in death by her mother, Donna Wood; stepfather, RobertWood; husband, Dean Earl Hagar; three brothers, Bert, Danny, and Richard Wilson; and a sister, Judy Guinn.
Janet is survived in death by her children, Ray Dean HagarofMeeker,andCarolynHagarMcLemoreand husband Don of Chandler; granddaughters, Nicole Hagar, and Holly Trunk; grandson, John Henry Hagar; five great grandchildren; siblings, Diane Manley of Choctaw, Jo Ann and Milton Dickson of Shawnee, Robert Lee and Barbara Wood of Meeker, Gene and Debbie Wood of Foster, Susie and Rusty Denney of Meeker, Nancy and Larry Bradley of Meeker; as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A private burial will be held at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker at a later date. Condolences can be expressed at www.parksbrothers.net. Services are in the care of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Chandler.
