Jeffrey “Jeff” Dean Webster was born in Wichita, Kansas on June3,1953,andpassed away September 7, 2024, at the age of 71 at his residence in Chandler, Oklahoma.
Jeff was born in Wesley Hospital in Wichita, Kansas to his parents, Willis Harry Webster and Melva Belle (Hargadine) Webster. Jeff is preceded in death by parents Willis and Melva Webster and niece Brooke Webster.
Surviving family members include his brothers, Greg and spouse JanWebster, Lyle and spouse Cindy Webster; nieces and nephews, Brenda and spouse Cory Faulkender and family, Brandon and spouse Ashley Webster and family, Brynn and spouse Matt Fowler and family, Bethany Webster, Cassy and spouse Allen Lester and family, Tony and spouse AmandaBranscum,JackyeandspouseJordanHanika and family; sister-in-law, Lisa Webster.
Jeff developed a network of close personal friends over his lifetime with people who became a very significant part of his life and served as his extended family. He is survived by his life-long best friend and caregiver Michael Townsend, of the home and Townsend family members, including Chantelle Townsend Montoya, Junior Montoya, Jessica Townsend Nellis and spouse Dane Nellis, Marta Townsend Coombes and spouse Greg Coombes, Danielle Coombes, Mary Jo Linder; grandchildren, Abby, Charles, Remington, Delilah, Kylie, Sophia, Julian and Isabella; great friends, Robby Bates and spouse Patti Bates, their daughters, Candice Harris, and Nicole Lawrence; Joe Stevenson and spouse Samantha Stevenson, their daughters, Evelynn and Jolene; Johnny Navarro and family.
A young Jeff liked to ride his bike to the swimming pool. Jeff was an avid reader and a very good student who concentrated on good grades. In middle school he joined the school marching band and played saxophone. He excelled as a saxophone player and was included in the school jazz band that recorded albums. As a teenager, Jeff would fly in Lear Jets alongside his father who was a senior executive of Lear Jet in Wichita. Jeff became a great cook after spending time in the kitchen with his dear Mother.
Jeff graduated from Kansas University with a degree in accounting and he entered a career in banking and finance. Jeff worked as a banker in Denver, Albuquerque, Houston, Wichita, Telluride, Stillwater, and Oklahoma City. While living in Colorado, Jeff discovered a love for downhill snow skiing and became an accomplished snow skier. Jeff was certified for riding a motorcycle, and he bought a Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle. He rode in group motorcycle rallies, and his favorite rides were to Eureka Springs, Hot Springs, Table Rock Lake, and Talihina. Jeff loved his animals, including dogs Otto, Cody, Sarah, Burt, Katie, Amanda, Bentley, Stripe, Nugget, Princess, Fred, Precious and Bambi. He also became fond of several cats under his care. Jeff loved coming to see the grandkids at many holidays and birthdays. Jeff came to visit grandkids while swimming at the pool, and camping at the lake campgrounds. Jeff, we will miss your love and kindness.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 21, 2024, at the New Hope Church of Christ in Edmond. Arrangements were under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
