Dorothy (Hoover) Thronesbery, 101, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, in Chandler, Oklahoma. Dorothy was born on June 10, 1923, to David Uriah and Sadie (Sherman) Hoover. Dorothy was an avid “Skip-Bo” and Bingo player. She was hard to beat!Sheplayedrightup until she passed. Dorothy was a cook at the Chandler Baseball Camp, and Chandler Public Schools, for many years. Dorothy received an award from the Centenarians of Oklahoma on her 100th birthday in 2023. She saw a lot in her lifetime! Dorothy leaves behindmanylovedonesandfriends.Welostatreasure. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ray Thronesbery Sr.; granddaughter, Gina Rae Thronesbery; her parents; and her siblings.

She is survived by one son, RayThronesbery Jr. and his wife, Virginia; two grandsons, Charles Thronesbery, and David Thronesbery and his wife, Hailey; siblings, David and Opal Hoover, Doyle and Peggy (Hoover) Caldwell, and Judy (Hoover) Morningstar; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
