Roger Vinson Nelson, known as RV to close friends and family, was born onAugust 3, 1951, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, at home in Guthrie, at the age of 74.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester A Nelson and Ina Mae Nelson, and his two sisters.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 56 year and they just celebrated their anniversary on January 31, 2026. He is also survived by his two sons and their wives, eight grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. He is also survived by his brother and his wife.
A graveside funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 4, 2026, at Wellston Cemetery under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
