The deadline to request absentee ballots by mail for the June 16 election is 5 p.m. Monday, June 1.Lincoln County Election Board Secretary Dena Jo Bromley said absentee voting is available to all voters in Oklahoma.

Early voting begins June 11

Early voting for Lincoln County voters begins Thursday, June 11, and continues through Saturday, June 13.Voters who will not be able to make it to the polls on Election Day may vote early at the Lincoln County Election Board.

Seminole State College releases honor roll lists

Seminole State College has released its honor roll lists for the spring 2026 semester. There were approximately 455 students named to the three lists.The President’s Honor Roll is awarded to students who maintain a perfect 4.0 grade point average (GPA) while taking at least 12 credit hours.

ThetownofDavenportis about to get a bit brighter.In the latest round of the Route 66 Revitalization Grant Program, Davenport was awarded $658,000 to install neon signs as an extension of the project in Stroud.

Wellston Town Board dissolves emergency management

The Town Board of Wellston voted to dissolve its emergency management division at its regular meeting on May 21.After going into executive session to discuss the issue, the Trustees made a motion to dissolve the division and allow Lincoln County Emergency Management to take over.
