“Bash for Cash” postponed

The Chandler Ag Booster has postponed their Annual Fund Raiser, “Bash for Cash.” “Out of concern for our community, volunteers and students, unfortunately we will be postponing our annual fund raiser,” said John Manning, President of the Chandler Ag Booster.

Voter registration deadline is friday

Friday, Oct. 9, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the November 3rd General Election, according to Lincoln County Election Board Secretary Melissa Stambaugh.

T-shirts to diapers

One local couple is taking an article of clothing that may look like it’s used up, and giving it new life. Chandler residents Steve and Jean Lucas are accepting donations of old t-shirts to be turned into diapers for expecting mothers in Nicaragua.

Absentee ballots mailed

Two absentee ballots that were mailed from the Stroud Post Office and later returned to those voters as undeliverable was caused by a problem with the automation at another Post Office, Lincoln County Election Board Melissa Stambaugh said last week.

Increase in COVID cases

The number of people in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties testing positive for COVID-19 has jumped significantly, the Oklahoma State Department of Health says.

Reminder: Salute to Veterans coming in November

The Lincoln County News, Tri-County Herald and Stroud American will publish a Salute to Veterans in the edition of Nov. 12. The salute will include photos and each veteran’s name, rank and years of service. This is for all veterans, regardless of the era in which they served.
