A local farmer in Carney is working to bring back wheat to the area.Matt Dornan recently competed in the National Wheat Yield Contests, winning second place on the percentage over county yield, which was 10.45 bushels an acre, and first place in quality.

Stroud Utility Authority to continue talks with sober living home

High winds lead to power outages across state

Strong winds knocked out power for many homes across Oklahoma on Sunday, including some in Lincoln County.The entire state was under a red flag fire warning, with Lincoln County especally on alert as March 14 marked the one year since fires burned through around 10,000 acres in the area.

The City of Stroud could be getting a data center.At the regular City Council meeting on March 12, City Manager Bob Pearman updated City Council members on a data center that had expressed interest in building in Stroud, saying they had been transparent about everything.

Prague senior Frank Provaznik has been building things since he was little.He recalled using Legos and other toys to create things as a child, sometimes things that no one else thought of. Then, he went to a STEM event hosted by Gordon Cooper Technology Center.

Jim Shaw, R-Chandler.Every year, hundreds of juniors and seniors from across the state join in the House High School Page Program at the Oklahoma State Capitol in Oklahoma City.
