Commissioners approve funding

The Lincoln County Commissioners approved funding for a Municipal Road Drilling Activity Fund Project (MRDAFP) for the Town of Davenport at their meeting on Feb. 17.The County is contributing $120,000 from the use tax fund and will approve the resolution at a later meeting.

Commissioners approve road project

The Lincoln County Commissioners approved a CBRI Resolution for District 3 in their regular meeting on March 2.The resolution will provide District 3 with $356,000 out of the CBRI fund to fix a mile and a half of road, with the full project costing approximately $446,000.

Prague students graduate

Two students from Prague have recently graduated from two major universities.Kara Stanley earned a Master’s in Instructional Design and Learning Technology from the University of Wisconsin in Whitewater at winter commencement in December.

Wellston Police Chief Alf Hancock has resigned from his position, according to the Town of Wellston.Hancock had been chief since 2019. Shawn Stewart will be the interim police chief.
