A $10,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man for allegedly assaulting a woman by strangulation in Agra.
Formal felony charges of domestic assault and battery by strangulation were filed in April in Lincoln County District Court against Randall Dwight Thompson, 52.

Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee conferred degrees upon 277 students during the University’s 107th Spring Commencement, held in five separate ceremonies Friday, May 14, and Saturday, May 15.

Chandler, Meeker and Stroud are planning to have Memorial Day events.
In Chandler, the American Legion Post 64 along with the local Boy Scouts will be placing flags at the Oak Park Cemetery at 9 a.m., on Saturday, May 29.
The public is welcome to come and help place the flags.
The Meeker Public Works Authority has received notice of approval of a $1,635,000 loan to help improve its wastewater infrastructure.
The $1.6 million loan is from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board and is for construction of upgrades and improvements in the town’s wastewater system.
