I am honored to introduce myself to the community as your new Postmaster. My name is Michael Fesler, and I am very excited to begin this journey serving the residents and businesses of Wellston, Oklahoma.To this role, I bring well-rounded Postal Service experience and a desire to serve.

Davenport rebuilding financials

The Town of Davenport took in less than half of its collections, according to Treasurer Whitney Clanton, at its regular meeting on April 14.During her report, Clanton said the total due is $32,928.63, but they were only able to collect $11,857.

The paddle story

All of my siblings and I grew up with a fear of the paddle. Granted, none of us save Trey - really got it that much. I remember as a very young child, just Mom saying, “I’m going to get the paddle” would be enough to strike the fear of God in me, and I wouldn’t step out of line.

Edith Viola Martin Mc-Cracken, 86, went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2026. Born on May 27, 1939, on the family farm near Longdale, Oklahoma, Edith was the daughter of JohnandMildred(Bowker) Martin.
