Randall second at Stroud meet

Meeker sophomore Riley Randall ran an 11:10 at the Stroud Cross Country meet on Saturday, taking second place. An All-Stater last year as a freshman, Randall finished among a pack of runners from Lincoln Christian, which had the first-, third- and fourthplace finishers.

Chandler’s Lady Lions made the most of a trip to northern Oklahoma Monday, getting a one-hitter from Grace Hulsey to beat Ponca City, 6-0, and banging out 10 hits in a 12-3 dominating over Blackwell.

Cross country season starts Saturday

Stroud kicks off the cross-country season by hosting the Tigers Invitational on Saturday. The schedule for the day is: 8:45 - Elementary boys and girls, 1 mile. 9 a.m. - Junior High girls, 1 mile. 9:25 - Junior high boys, 1 mile. 9:40 - High school girls, 1 mile. 10 a.m.
