Officials at Stroud High School have released the honor rolls for the first semester of the 2019-2020 school year. The following students were listed on the Superintendent’s Honor Roll with a 4.0 grade point average.

Extension hosts containers and batteries recycle event

An Ag Pesticide Container, Compact Fluorescent Lamp, and Batteries Recycle event will be 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 22. Items can be taken to Sullivan’s Farm and Ranch Center in Prague or the Lincoln County Agri-Civic Center in Chandler. Acceptable items include 1, 2.

Selke and Wayland are November Lions

Chandler High School seniors Jaedyn Wayland and Glennon Selke have been chosen as Lions of the Month by the Lion’s Club for the month of November. Jaedyn is the daughter of Billy and Christina Wayland and holds a 4.0 grade point average while taking advanced classes in English and Math.

Stone River Music Festival to be held September 20-22

The outdoors is cooling down just in time for a local music festival. A Lincoln County family, the Pittsleys, host the Stone River Music Festival. “It’s just a good family-friendly get-together,” volunteer and the Pittsley’s neighbor Sherri Clark said.
