Commissioners approve lighting

Lincoln County commissioners Monday approved a bid that will allow new lighting to be installed in the Fair Barn building. They accepted the low bid from Brett Miller Electric of $52,023.30.

Assessor’s inspections start soon

Personnel from the Lincoln County Assessor’s Office are starting the visual inspection of real property as required by state law. County Assessor Jackie Holcomb stated that this visual inspection will not require contact between her employees and property owners.

Relay for Life suspended

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, the American Cancer Society has made a decision to suspend in-person events through the end of June. Therefore Relay For Life of Lincoln County has also decided to cancel the event scheduled for June 26 and the 5K scheduled for June 27.

Meeker gets sewer grant

The Town of Meeker on Tuesday learned its received a $17,198 Emergency Grant through the Oklahoma Water Resources Board to help defray costs of wastewater infrastructure improvements it had to make last December.

Sac and Fox transportion center

The last program in the Sac and Fox Nation not to have its own building, will not hold that title much longer. Construction on the Sac and Fox transportation building is in the final stages, and is one of the largest indoor Sac and Fox facilities.
