Trial set for ex-substitute teacher

A former Wellston substitute teacher facing five sexrelated felonies with minors has been set for a felony disposition docket in September and a jury trial has been scheduled for October.

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved a budget contract with the OSU Extension Office and also approved the ARPA Funds Expenditure Documentation form for the OSU Extension Office building.

Meeker: No action on indenture

Meeker’s Town Board of Trustees voted 4-1 this week to hold up and take no action on a Trust Indenture for purchasing and selling property for the Town’s Industrial Trust Authority.Instead, they decided to set up a special meeting at 6 p.m.

Texan arrested

A Texas motorist who was stopped on the Turner Turnpike arrested and charged with a drug offense has made his initial appearance.Son Chi Nguyen, 45, of Richmond, Texas was charged in Lincoln County District Court Nov. 2 with unlawful possession of a Controlled Drug with intent to distribute.

Council revamps process for weed, trash abatement

EMILY KALKA Staff writer The Chandler City Council voted at their monthly meeting on May 14 to revamp weed and trash abatement, removing public hearings on these issues from council meetings and making them an administrative process.The council discussed the change in April’s meeting.
