Prison terms in break-in cases

A woman charged recently with two felonies has pleaded guilty to both and has been handed two state prison terms. Pre-preliminary hearings have been set for a man who was also charged at the same time with her, but he faces a total of three felonies and a misdemeanor.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for a Stroud man facing a first degree murder charge related to the distribution of Fentanyl, a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Formal charges were filed in Lincoln County District Court Dec. 6, 2023 against Dillon Young, 30.

I noticed that the Oklahoma Highway Patrol along with other law enforcement agencies reportedly are cracking down on distracted driving between now and Jan. 31. Received a press release indicating such early last week that it was beginning Jan. 17 and running for a two-week period.

You can definitely tell its winter in Oklahoma. Due to the cold temperatures and icy conditions Stroud schools were closed on Monday and Tuesday and many businesses had to close or adjust their “open” hours. Many people were asking about school closings on Facebook.
