Not guilty plea in Feb. shooting

AMidwest City man facing three felonies following a Lincoln County shooting near Wellston in February of 2023 that injured a person has pleaded not guilty. Casey Mac Wilson, 42, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Feb.

Dale’s Class 2A top-ranked Pirates came in third in the Tournament of Champions in Tulsa over the holidays. The Pirates bounced Nathan Hale, ranked 18th in Class 4A, by 25 points in the first round.

150 years in prison

A Wellston man has been sentenced to 150 years in state prison for crimes against minors. Jason Wayne Womack, 41, was convicted by a Lincoln County jury in October and the jury recommended he spend 150 years in state prison.

Lincoln County Commissioners

Lincoln County commissioners this week reappointed Lee Doolen as their chairman and Marlin Miller as vice chairman. They also made several appointments and took no action on allowing the Sac and Fox Tribe to handle engineering of eight bridges.

New Year’s Resolutions, 2024

While we have just started a new year, it’s taken me a little longer to jot down the resolutions for the coming 12 months. I’m hoping 2024 will be a good year, maybe a little better than 2023 and that I and our family will go through it without some of the challenges we faced the past 12 months.
