Prague woman charged in rape

An 18-year-old Prague woman faces two felonies, one of them first degree rape, and another Prague woman has been charged with enabling child sexual abuse and child neglect. Taylor Jo Bittle was charged in Lincoln County District Court Dec.

One to trial, two arraigned

A jury trial has been scheduled for one of four persons from Wellston charged with child neglect and two others have been arraigned. The fourth is scheduled for arraignment later this month. The four were residing in the same residence with nine children at the time of their arrest.

2023 -Year in review

2023 was quite a year, with triumphs, tragedies and, sometimes, humor. Here’s a look back at the events of the year. - Several Lincoln County contestants completed in the International Finals Youth Rodeo that kicked off in early July at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center in Shawnee.
Leo the Lion (senior Ashlee Beatty), the mascot for Chandler High School, dances on the sidelines during the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl half-time show in Orlando, Florida on Jan. 1. Beatty was one of 50 mascots from high schools across the United States selected for the All-American squad and invited to perform. Musician Gavin DeGraw was the guest performer during the show. Beatty is the first mascot from CHS to make All-American.

Carl Robertson was born in Stroud, OK on Wednesday, January 18, 1933 and went to his HeavenlyhomeonMonday, December 18, 2023 at the age of 90. Carl was the son of Ira and Ella (Wilson) Robertson. At the age of 17, Carl went to Korea and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
