Carolyn Ann “Robinette” Buchanan, age 80, of Medford Okla., passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2021, at the Integris Bass Hospital in Enid, Okla. Carolyn was born on May 21, 1941, in Bellbrook, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Annie Sue “Walker” Beegle and Wesley Ellsworth Beegle.

The Meeker Quilters’ Guild sponsored their 11th annual Summer Quilt Camp July 19 - 21. Mammoth Baptist Church graciously hosted the 3-day event which was attended by eight participants.

Warrant issued in food stamp case

A $10,000 bench warrant that was issued for a Chandler woman who is charged with obtaining food stamps by fraud, has been returned and filed. Valerie Marie Cox, 47, was charged July 8 in Lincoln County District Court with the felony.

Work on state Highway 18 continues between Chandler and Meeker, with work shown being done near the race track on Saturday. By Tuesday, crews were back where they started, at Meeker.
