Aaron A. Arradondo

Aaron was born August 1, 1924 to Benjamin Franklin and Willie Mae Arradondo in Dallas, Texas. He departed this life February 22, 2021 at the age of 96. After graduating high school, Aaron served his country and was honorably discharged as a World War II veteran of the United States Army Air Corps.

Thomas Milton Brooks Sr.

Pastor Thomas Milton Brooks Sr. was born January 7, 1933, in Baltimore City, Md., and died Thursday, February 25, 2021, in Chandler. He was 88 years old. Brooks, the son of Joseph Milton and Helen Lucille (Roop) Brooks, married Nancy (Eadie) Brooks on February 14, 1981, in Lenox, Mass.

Child endangerment charge

A Chandler woman faces a felony child endangerment charge for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol following her arrest by a Sac and Fox Nation police officer. Formal charges were filed on Feb. 24 in Lincoln County District Court against Taylor Farmer, 25.

The winner of this year’s Central Oklahoma Telephone Co. Directory cover photography contest is Avery Armstrong of Agra, a ninth grade student at Cushing Public Schools. Avery is the daughter of Jennifer Armstrong. For her winning photograph, Avery received a $50 award from COTC.

Felony drug charges

A Chandler woman faces a felony drug count and a misdemeanor after she was arrested by Chandler police officers in early February. Christi Leigh Ebers, 41, was formally charged Feb.

Update on damage at Dale

Dale Acting School Supt. Ky Wilkins this week updated the Board of Education on the damage sustained in the recent snowstorm. “We had a moisture test done everywhere,” Wilkins informed board members, referring to the new high school and new gymnasium.

Additional felonies for county man

A Lincoln County resident already facing three felonies and eight misdemeanors now faces several more felonies after three more cases were filed against him. Kevin Michael Bryant, 39, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Jan.

New agreement for McLoud

The McLoud City Council during its most recent meeting approved a proposal/agreement for professional engineering services on new wastewater infrastructure in the I-40 corridor. The agreement is with Cardinal Engineering.

Stolen vehicle charges

A Stroud resident has been charged with felonious possession of a stolen vehicle after he was arrested by the Davenport police chief in February. Jonathan Cullum, 23, was formally charged on Feb. 24 in Lincoln County District Court with possession of a stolen vehicle.

Stone, Cothran Academic All-Staters

Jared Stone from Chandler and Breanna Cothran from Davenport have been named Academic All-Staters by the The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence. They are among 100 on the list, which was chosen from 379 nominations.
