Burglary charges filed in Sparks case

Formal charges have been filed against three persons who were nabbed by two wild hog hunters early last week as they reportedly were taking property from a rural Sparks residence.

Multiple counts were filed in Lincoln County District Court Monday against Jonathan Levi Anderson, 24, Alexandria Deanne Gordon, 22 and Jordan Sean Thomason, 18. The filings show Anderson is from Prague and Gordon and Thomas are from Chandler.

Anderson is charged with two counts of second degree burglary and three counts of third degree burglary.

Gordon faces two counts of second degree and two for third degree burglary and one count of conspiracy.

Thomason is accused of two counts of second degree burglary, two counts of third degree burglary and one for conspiracy.

Bond for each of the three defendants has been set at $5,000. Each appeared before Associate District Judge Sheila Kirk, court records show.

Thomason also has two pending traffic charges against him that were filed Jan. 22 of this year. One is for eluding/attempting to elude police officer and the other is for no driver’s license.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Capt. Larry Stover said the three could be linked to other burglaries in that area that have occurred. He stated the investigation is ongoing.

All three were transported to the Lincoln County Jail in Chandler by deputies early Monday morning, Feb. 17, after the two hog hunters initially made a citizen’s arrest and notified authorities.

Stover said Gordon bonded out of jail Thursday afternoon, Feb. 20.

He said the three broke into four buildings at the property. “That equates to four burglaries,” he noted.

Deputy Jimmy Brown said in a report one of the hunters watched the suspects on the property enter the house, then witnessed them move to an old U haul truck that stored various property that was located south of the house.

The deputy’s report states the hunter also watched them enter an old semi trailer that stored various property and also a barn type structure.

Brown’s report says a flag and tile that belonged to the hunter from the house and a small bicycle that was from the barn all were loaded into a maroon Ford Explorer SUV that belonged to Alexandria Gordon.

Brown said in the report since the three entered four structures he charged them with four counts of second degree burglary.

He said the offenses include burglary/breaking and entering, drugs, narcotics and marijuana.
