Guilty plea entered in drug case

A Chandler man has pleaded guilty to trafficking illegal drugs and distribution of a controlled dangerous substance as the result of a plea bargain agreement with the district attorney.

New teachers at Dale

The Dale Board of Education has hired several new employees as the 2021-2022 school year got under way on Wednesday, Aug. 11. Following about a 20-minute executive session, board members returned to open meeting. They hired Marty Shirey as an Elementary Physical Education teacher.

Meeker school board

Meeker Schools’ enrollment is showing an increase, principals informed Board of Education members this week. Classes for the 2021- 2022 school year begin today (Aug. 12), and principals at the elementary, middle school, high school and Meeker Education Center all indicated their enrollments are up.

Kingdom of Heaven

We should go to church to sing praises to the Lord, pray for others to be of the Spirit and for healings. Then we are to go out and live our life doing what Jesus said to do which is following Him. Our hope is to live in the kingdom of heaven, and we will if we follow what Jesus said to do.

Community prayer event planned

Chandler Schools offer free meals

Chandler Public Schools is participating in a free breakfast and/ or free lunch program for the current 2021-2022 school year. Therefore, all students enrolled in the district will receive free breakfast and/or lunch.
