Update on damage at Dale

Dale Acting School Supt. Ky Wilkins this week updated the Board of Education on the damage sustained in the recent snowstorm. “We had a moisture test done everywhere,” Wilkins informed board members, referring to the new high school and new gymnasium.

Additional felonies for county man

A Lincoln County resident already facing three felonies and eight misdemeanors now faces several more felonies after three more cases were filed against him. Kevin Michael Bryant, 39, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Jan.

New agreement for McLoud

The McLoud City Council during its most recent meeting approved a proposal/agreement for professional engineering services on new wastewater infrastructure in the I-40 corridor. The agreement is with Cardinal Engineering.

Stolen vehicle charges

A Stroud resident has been charged with felonious possession of a stolen vehicle after he was arrested by the Davenport police chief in February. Jonathan Cullum, 23, was formally charged on Feb. 24 in Lincoln County District Court with possession of a stolen vehicle.

Stroud blood drive Sunday

The Oklahoma Blood Institute’s Blood Mobile will be at Stroud First Baptist Church, 315 N. 3 rd Ave., 12-3 p.m., Sunday, March 7. Individuals age 16 and up are urged to give blood. All blood types are needed. Donors will receive a free, limited edition T-shirt through March 14.

Chandler Chamber to meet

The Chandler Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon will be at noon, Tuesday, March 9. All luncheons this year will be held at the Route 66 Interpretive Center. This month’s caterer will be Hello Catering. The guest speaker is Jeanie Jones from Jones Wellness.

Voter registration deadline nears

Lincoln County Election Board Secretary Melissa Stambaugh announced that Friday, March 12, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the April 6th elections.

The Seminole State College Educational Foundation has announced the hiring of former state representative Danny Morgan of Prague to direct the SSC Rural Business and Resources Center. The Center provides economic development assistance in the College’s five-county service area.
