Last week I had the opportunity to venture out to the annual Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show at the Heart of Oklahoma Exposition Center. It was the 84th consecutive year for the show and involves several hundred FFA and 4-H students from throughout the county.

Only in Oklahoma could we go from sub-zero to balmy temperatures in a week’s time. It’s like the Mark Twain quote “If you don’t like the weather now, just wait a few minutes.” It was certainly hard on the cows and new born calves.

Preparation is moving along on Town Talk’s miniature golf course project. The nine golf course holes have been ordered and we hope to have them in Stroud sometime during the first week of April. Thanks again to everyone who has donated to this project.

A Chandler woman faces a felony child endangerment charge for allegedly driving while under the influence of alcohol following her arrest by a Sac and Fox Nation police officer. Formal charges were filed on Feb. 24 in Lincoln County District Court against Taylor Farmer, 25.
