Two persons from the Harrah area who were arrested in January after law enforcement officers discovered an illegal cockfighting operation in Lincoln County each face 88 felony charges.

Meeker Museum membership

The membership drive for the Meeker Museum has been extended so more interested individuals may be included. Dues are $5 for students, $10 for individuals, $15 for families and couples and $20 for business and organizations.

Burglary charges filed in Sparks case

Formal charges have been filed against three persons who were nabbed by two wild hog hunters early last week as they reportedly were taking property from a rural Sparks residence.

Suit against Sharp dismissed

A District Judge has tossed out a defamation lawsuit filed against State Sen. Ron Sharp, R-Shawnee, by EPIC Charter Schools last December. Oklahoma County District Judge Cindy Truong dismissed the lawsuit last week. Sharp said, “The judge dismissed it calling it frivolous.
