Lincoln County commissioners this week voted to participate in two settlement agreements and reaffirmed the exempt status of its emergency management director.

Meeker Quilters’ Guild camp

The Meeker Quilters’ Guild sponsored its 12th annual Summer Quilt Camp July 18 - 20. Mammoth Baptist Church graciously hosted the 3-day event which was attended by 10 participants.

Judge named in DA case

A District Judge has been appointed to preside over the case that seeks the removal of District Attorney Allan Grubb and asks for his immediate suspension. Grubb’s attorneys also have filed motions seeking to quash the accusation and also have the AG’s office removed from involvement in the case.

Erma Anderson, age 90, went to be with her Lord on July 15, 2022, surrounded by her family. Erma was born on Oct. 17, 1931 in Cherryville, Mo. to Otto and Martha Pyatt. She met Ray Anderson “the love of her life”, and they married shortly after on Sept. 8, 1951 in Salem, Ark.
