50th COVID death in Pott County

The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 has climbed to 50 in Pottawatomie County over the past week, the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports. Four additional deaths have been reported in the county. They include three females and a male, all in the 65 or older age group, the OSDH said.

McLoud filing period

The filing period for three seats on the McLoud City Council opens at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb. 1, running through 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3. Pottawatomie County Election Board Secretary Jeannie Stover said candidates may file between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Town Talk kicked off fundraising this week via Facebook for the Route 66 themed miniature golf course we plan on installing on Main Street. The course will consist of nine holes. The first hole will be the train station where you hop on board to get some kicks on Route 66.
