Tommy Dewayne Phipps

Tommy Dewayne Phipps of Chandler was born October 1, 1943, in Petaluma, Calif. He died Saturday, August 29, 2020, at the age of 76 years. Phipps, the son of Curtis and Jeannine Phipps, married Beaulah (Stiner) Phipps in 1969. He worked as a cement truck driver.

Edith Mae Phipps

Edith Mae Phipps was born September 3, 1929, in Yukon, Okla., and died Thursday, September 3, 2020, in Chandler. She was 91 years old. Phipps, the daughter of Jim and Ethel (Major) Welch, married Wayne Orrin Phipps on May 6, 1960.

Cal Francis Guthrie

Cal Francis Guthrie was born April 28, 1935, in Moore, Okla. He died Friday, September 4, 2020, at his home in Chandler. He was 85 years old. Guthrie, the son of Carl “Carlie” Francis and Ruth “Ruthie” (Gordon) Guthrie, married Peggy Guthrie on August 2, 1959.

Cheryl Jean Murphy

Cheryl Jean Murphy was born to Samuel Darrell and Beverly Jean (Hicks) Craven on Sept. 10, 1956, in Chandler. She died Friday, Sept. 4, 2020, in Stillwater, Okla., at the age of 63 years. Murphy, a graduate of Perkins-Tryon High School, studied at Langston University and St.

Gerald Arthur Zimpel

Gerald “Jerry” Arthur Zimpel was born September 30, 1938, in Curtiss, Wis., and died Sunday, August 9, 2020, in Chandler. He was 81 years old. Zimpel, the son of Arthur and Carrie (Nelson) Zimpel, married Wilda Donnell Sparks on September 4, 1976.

Marguerite L. Russell

Marguerite L. Russell, age 92, passed away on September 1, 2020 in Mission, Kansas. Marguerite was born in Chandler, Oklahoma in 1927 and graduated from Carney High School in 1945. She lived on a farm near Chandler from 1970 to 1993, then moved to Shawnee where she lived from 1993 to 2018.
