Happenings at Prairie Pointe

Helen Arrington led our church services again Sunday with a devotional entitled “Prayer.” Prayer is the act that seeks a rapport with God wherein we can divine his will for us. She asked for input to involve others. The singing of hymns helped us get in a mood for worship.

Town Talk

Thank you to Town Talk volunteer Mandy Clark for all her hard work on another successful Farmer’s Market. I was out of town and did not get to attend but heard rave reviews and saw many positive comments on Facebook. Town Talk appreciates all our local folks who come out to support this event.

Bride-to-be Anita Reynolds, along with her sister Rita from Oklahoma City, Marilyn Wheeler and Robin Smith made a surprise visit to Prairie Pointe Saturday afternoon.

Letter to the Editor

I would like to give a big “Thank you” to all our citizens for taking extra precautions during this time of uncertainty with the COVID-19 Pandemic. This is a challenging time for our country and community.

Town Talk

Town Talk will not hold it’s April meeting. We will continue to look for ideas to help our community, but will not be meeting or hosting fundraisers until we are given the “all clear” that the virus threat is behind us. We want to keep our volunteers and supporters safe during this difficult time.

Do you think that more and more people are getting confused about our Creator? Are we claiming victory in Jesus without doing what He said? The instructions He gave us are to get us away from our self as man to Him. We are supposed to be like God.

Happenings at Prairie Pointe

We have always been germ conscious at Prairie Pointe, and keeping our residents flu free the past four years was no accident. It helps that we are a pretty healthy bunch to begin with. A healthy diet and regular exercise as well as socialization helps keep a body and spirits in shape.

Town Talk

The Stroud Alumni officers are busy planning this year’s alumni activities scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. They are asking all interested alums to join them for their next meeting. It will be held this Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the new high school.
