Senior safety program offered

John Cobb, Director of Central Oklahoma Economic Development District Area Agency on Aging, announced that a pilot program has been launched aimed at getting help to senior citizens in the event of an in-home incident.

Ombudsman volunteers needed

The need for advocates for Nursing Home, Assisted Living Centers and Residential Care facility residents remains high.

Pat and Linda (Brown) Smith of Chandler will celebrate 50 years of marriage on April 7, 2022. They met and married in Drumright, Okla. They currently reside in Chandler where they have owned and operated Smith Pump and Supply in its current location since 1972.

Entries sought for Prague Kolache Festival

After two years of cancellations due to the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers are planning to celebrate the Prague Kolache Festival on Saturday, May 7, with the parade beginning at 11 a.m. Theme for the festival parade is “From Praha to Prague.” Entries are being accepted for the parade.

OSU announces graduates

Officials at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater announced the names of students who completed requirements for degrees at the end of the Fall 2021 semester. Darrell Jones of Agra earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Global Studies. Two students from Carney were on the list.
