COVID cases keep on the rise

The number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 has increased by three in Pottawatomie County in the last few days, the Oklahoma State Department of Health reports.

New car dealer for Wellston

A new car dealership is expected to open in the Town of Wellston in late 2021. Wellston’s Municipal Administrator John Cobb confirmed a Ford Franchise dealership is to be located just east of the Turner Turnpike bridge on U.S. 66. “It will be just south of the eastbound exit,” Cobb said.

No action on county raises

Lincoln County Commissioners in a meeting late last week took no action regarding salary increases for county officers.

Meeker sets election for Town Board seats

The Meeker Town this week adopted a resolution calling for an election in 2021. Three seats will be on the ballot. The three-day filing period will be from Feb. 1-3 and the General Election is April 6, 2021, Lincoln County Election Board Secretary Melissa Stambaugh said.
