McLoud approves $65,000 budget amendment

The McLoud City Council has approved an amendment to the 2020-2021 budget in order to pay for $50,000 worth of millings and also to cover the cost of hauling them. Total of the budget amendment was $65,000. City Manager Buck Day explained that cost for hauling the millings will be $15,000.

God’s House of Prayer meeting community needs

The public is invited to a free Community Christmas Dinner at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 19, hosted by the Outreach Ministry of God’s House of Prayer and Open Door Ministry. The event will be at Douglas Gym, 299 W. 14 th Street in Chandler.

Northwestern Oklahoma State University Bailie Gooch of Stroud will participate in commencement ceremonies at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva on Sunday, Dec. 6, in Percefull Fieldhouse. Gooch earned a Bachelor of Science degree in health and sports science education.

Van Tuyl receives Citizen of the Year Award

School board office filing period opens next week

The filing period for school board offices in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties opens next Monday, Dec. 7, and runs through Wednesday, Dec. 9, the two Election Board secretaries have announced. The filing period for districts across the state is the same time.
