Stroud man dies in crash

A Stroud man died in a two-vehicle traffic collision in the city limits. Stroud Police Chief Clint Gaylord identified the victim who died in the collision as Randy VanFossen, 68. Gaylord reported that VanFossen had to be extricated from the 1989 GMC pickup he was driving.

The mother and sister of a Prague man facing six felonies each have been charged with harboring a fugitive from justice. Karen Vancuren, 34, of Prague, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court July 29 with harboring a fugitive from justice.
