Couple to celebrate 50 years of marriage

Ronald and Sheila Slayton will have a private family celebration in recognition of their 50 th wedding anniversary. Sheila Murray and Ronald Slayton were united in marriage on September 25, 1970, at Church of Christ in Chandler. Ron worked for National American Insurance Co.

Three brothers from Chandler received national recognition for the work and research they did in FFA. Chandler Alumni Seth Stone was a National Finalist in Agricultural Proficiency for his work in agricultural research and plant systems.

Our grandson, Liam, turned 2 on Aug. 31 and his birthday party was last Sunday. What a great celebration it was. His first birthday party was at our house. This year some close friends of ours had offered to our daughter Meghan and her husband Terry to host the party at their place.
